Eph 5:1 -- Be ye therefore followers of
God, as dear children;
Have you ever been in a situation where you go to a place
probably a meeting for only the top citizens in the Nation and when you are
about to enter a security personnel restrains you? The entrances often carry a
notice like “Authorized personnel only”.
But what if as you went with your dad who happens to also be
a speaker at such gathering or in fact the one for whom all the mighty men have
gathered and you were just following him through the entrance.
You see the story will change because even if the security personnel
try to hold you back, soon as your dad looks back and says “he’s with me!” they
will all give way for you and tender duplicated apologies.
This is where we are going. Who you follow determines where
you can enter in life. Sometimes who you follow determines how far you go in
life.
And that is why scriptures this morning admonish us to
follow God (The supreme being that has access everywhere ). Because God has
entered everywhere he can grant us access to the top seats in life, in our
career, in our ministry, all we need do is follow God.
How do we follow God? Well, once we have given our lives to
Christ, it gets easier. Reading the bible and praying everyday is a compulsory
part of the deal but I know many of us do that daily. So how about we begin to
do what this bible teaches 100% and stop deceiving our selves and the people
watching us.
Follow God closely, if you are walking behind Him from a
distance you will soon be lost. Come on Christian , move your Spiritual life
from one spot, lets do this!
