So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
According to the Bible, the only peculiar reason for hearing is to bring faith to man
In this light we are safe to assume that the majority of the human race misuse the hearing.
Hearing is not for music appreciation, hearing is not a gift for gossip, hearing is not a sense for accepting corrupt teaching, but hearing is only ordained to bring you to faith and to bring faith to you.
No matter what you have heard in your life, no matter how much listening you have done, if hearing has not brought you to Godly faith you have heard nothing in fact you are deaf so far.
Be selective of what you hear. make good use of the ear.
Listen well and speak life
